The Club has recently acquired full ownership of the 77' classic wooden yacht, Belle.
Members board in Nantucket Harbor and cruise the island on cocktail and dinner trips, lunch outings, front row viewing at yacht races, and voyages of discovery in Nantucket Sound.
In addition to Belle, we also have available for member's use a new, fully equipped and crewed sport fishing boat for private charters and club sponsored excursions.
And to raise boys and girls who are at home on boats, the Club, in conjunction with Nantucket Community Sailing, provides children of members the opportunity to participate in NCS's highly regarded sailing program.
Belle
Built in 1929 by the New York Yacht, Launch & Engine Company in 1929, this 77 foot wooden motor yacht has been meticulously maintained since its restoration was completed in 1998.
Belle has four double staterooms that can accommodate up to eight overnight guests. Complete with a crew of three, Belle offers a captain, a chef, and a cabin attendant.
Onawa
Onawa is a wooden 70 foot, America's Cup 12 meter yacht built in 1928. It is number six of six nearly identical 12 meter yachts built for prominent members of the New York Yacht Club.
Restoration of this classic 12 meter began in January of 2000, and continued until its completion during the summer of 2001.
Currently in its fully restored state, Onawa can accommodate 12 guests for a pleasurable sail and has a crew of three. Onawa was designed by W. Starling Burgess and built by Abeking & Ramussen.
Westmoor 1
Our brand new Southport Center Console 28 foot sport fishing boat is a wonderful compliment to The Club. The boat, Westmoor 1, is fully equipped with state of the art fishing equipment and gear.
Members may reserve Westmoor 1 for their own private charters or may join other members on board for one of the Club hosted days out on the water. Tom Mleczko and his captains will be operating the boat from out of their base in Madaket Harbor. |
