Festival season began with Daffodil weekend and now continues with the Nantucket Wine and Food Festival (NWF). Yes, it is a festival - exactly as its title states . . . celebrating food and wine. But don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the title as the festival is a great adventure.
Your taste buds will be thrilled for three days as you will be traveling the world without leaving our small Island. A highlight event for the NWF is La Fête, which will be taking place at The Westmoor Club on Saturday, May 20th from 7:00PM – 11:00PM. La Fête encourages participants to bring their favorite and most exciting wines from their personal cellar. Wines will be paired with devourable foods by Westmoor Chef, Bruce Sacino. There will be a champagne reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres as well as a stationary raw bar, Calvisius caviar display, and a cheese display. Dinner will feature four courses and include: “Ruthie B” Lobster Risotto with Roasted Berkshire Maitake Mushrooms, Vanilla Cured Pheasant Breast, 41st Parallel Beef Spinalis, and White Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Pea Tendril Anglaise.
Many of the NWF events are selling out, so now is the time to go online and start buying your tickets.
Be sure to also look out for The Westmoor Club when you check in at the Festival. We will be offering complimentary hand and chair massages! In addition, we will have a hydration station in the VIP lounge to help you last throughout the weekend.
